Satriani Lol, I wish that was my name, but thanks. He is my guitar idol, and the greatest guitarist to ever live (in my opinion of course). Have you even heard any of his music? If not, you are missing out BIGTIME! Also, practice for periods rather than marathon sessions. It's much more productive and you develop faster that way ?

Satriani Steve was my favourite guitarist for quite a while. I cannot explain how much influence I take from his playing. My improvisation is very Vai/Satriani based. Not on purpose, that's just how I play because I live and breath it. Vai has the best stage presence out of any guitarist I've ever seen, and his musicianship is extremely versatile. Having said that, I've gotten bored with his newer stuff, while I think Satriani just keeps getting better and better. I think it's alot to do with Vai's use of synthesized sounds lately, and his extreme love of everything whacky which I used to love myself, but now a little less ? Either way, you can't go wrong listening to him speak, or play! Impressed you know of him at your age ?
