I don't feel it's needed, but I might be biased (being a fan of off-colour jokes and believing that respect is earned), so I'll report this post and let another mod decide.
To be honest, this thread is a reflection of other threads on other boards and of various commentaries on different sites that broke the story. Some people seem very sad and have offered polite condolensces, other people have taken a dig (which is not surprising, given her well-publicised excesses). Seems to be the way of it.
As many people have expressed their sadness over wasted talent as have made jokes, and in any case the thread can't be "fixed up" without deleting large numbers of posts, and in that case you may as well nuke the whole thread, which is silly.
So as a compromise let's ease off on the one-liners on the one side, and simply avoid the thread if you're sensitive about stuff regarding the recently deceased.
