Preparing to start laying the binding . . . .hehehehehe wha ha ha ha (hysterical larf)
I need to test out a few glues, as to which creates the closest to an invisible bond when gluing plastic purfling to plastic binding. Ya da ya da . . . i've googled all the options, and, without being able to import such specific items from StewMac (ROHS restrictions), I did 3 tests of alternatives today . . .
Namely a hobbyist plastic glue, super glue and plain acetone . . .

I used each glue in a "binding to purfling" situation, and when dry, scraped and sanded each sample . . . .
The acetone had a distinctive white line at the join (surprising) . . . . The hobby glue (not cheap) had not as obvious, but still visible white lines at the join, but a very nice result . .. . and well . . . the superglue, after being sanded as to the others, had no visible line. I tested another longer strip with s-glue and achieved the same result.
Acetone . . .
Hobby glue . . .
s-glue . . .
and s-glue again . .
I guess that's decided then . . . .! 8)
