Hi there, just doing a little study on 1 valve reverb, and just wanted to know if anyone here knows if Swart amps reverb are cap driven or transformer driven.
I know they use 12DW7's(half AU7 to drive and half AX7 to recover), and that they are similar design to a Gibson scout. And like some Gibson/Epiphone amps, is it possible to play through the reverb with the amp volume off?
Thanks

I'm sure he'll respond here, but Brentcgp owns two Swart amps which I was lucky enough to test-drive last night. The reverb on those things is just amazing! Eish!
Thanks, i've read that thread before! But I have always leaned towards using reverb transformers and low impedance tanks. So Is the Swart cap driven? Can you play just through the reverb? I have a different design i'm going for, but just like to know how others are doing it too. I want to start building a "junior reverb" series of amps...... Vol Tone Reverb Speed Depth

Well, Ikve discovered that it is indeed Cap driven reverb, and doesn't use a choke, but rather just a resistor.
Bringing out my own design 15watt reverb amp with EL84's and transformer driven reverb.
