A friend of mine is wanting to sell his Streamer Rock bass Warwick for R2200. Now I play quite a bit of bass as well as guitar, my current bass is absolute crap. So a new bass would be good. However, I always thought that when get the money I will go for a 5 string Ibanez or nice Cort or something. But now a 4 string Warwick is presented to me, and it looks and feels nice. Is this a good buy?

These basses have a good rep in their price range as being one of the better ones... Check his price against new (I can't find a price)
Most importantly however, do you like it? Does it play well for you? If your heart is set on a 5 then don't buy it.
Also look around gumtree etc. You never know what's out there.
I got my lovely Ibby '85 for just over R1000 with hard case - turns out they are very sought after for the production quality of that time... I also got it from a friend who rated it very highly but I wouldn't have gone for it if it didn't feel right...
In summary, good bass so a lot depends on whether you have a connection with it or not.
