Popping the Question?

So, Jacque's thread (grat's again Jacques!) brings up something I'm needing to think about too. Soon I'll be picking up the ring (within the next few weeks hopefully), and I need to start thinking about how I want to go about the proposal. I'd appreciate some thoughts! Some background: - We've been together for three years, living together nearly the whole time - She's incredibly non-fussy and easy to please, so in all reality I could get away with "Honey, I'm home, wanna get married?" but I'd rather do something a bit more special ? - I've already done a lot of stuff like special dinners that I've prepared myself, secret tickets to shows etc. so I'd need to make it different somehow - I wrote a song for her in the early days which I put together and e-mailed, so I can't get away with "I wrote you a song babe!" ? Just scratching for some ideas, maybe stuff that worked well for others.

We're looking at around Sept 2012. Just getting pricing and that from venues - so didn't realise how pricey it is! ?

OHHH no that is the cheap part! Try booking a honeymoon!!! We made the mistake of making the wedding on the 10th of December this year... Difference in price from August to December for the 2 of us is R10k at the same place for the same package!

Oh crap. Maybe we can have a camping honeymoon, in our back yard ? I haven't even started to look at honeymoon places or prices - think I am avoiding the aneurysm.
