Don't know anything about 'em. Could be right. For R700 it may be worth experimenting.
If its not sold by Monday I'm taking it (and if BA let me take it on board with me back to JHB...)
I called the shop, it's in Ballito. Asked them to send better pics of it which they did. Thought it might be something from the Peavey Odyssey range, unfortunately isn't. Personal opinion, not worth R700, but it definitely is an old (I'd presume late 60's or 70's) piece of wood - more likely 70's.
They've also got a Yamaha Pacifica at the same shop for R1800, probably a better buy
A.D. Is that at Cash-it? If it is, it's like than 2 minutes from my house.

Gigsy, I'll go check it out tomorrow and let ya know what its like.

          Thanks Paul, would be appreciated!
Giggsy, I went to check out the shop I thought had it, because I know they had a pacifica for R1800.. But, I'm not sure if it's the same place, because the place I went to didn't have it. I have a feeling they've split their store though, so if i have time later, i'll drive down to their other store, just down the road, still in Ballito.

Thats above and beyond the call of duty! +1 thanks!
Ok, so I went to check the guitar out. Unfortunately it is nothing special. It's not in the greatest condition to begin with, a few dings here and there and a scrape on the neck (not terrible though).

It has old rusty strings on it, which makes it hard to test out.. But, to be 100% honest, I'm pretty sure it's a cheap, entry level guitar. Nothing special.

If you decide to come check it out on Monday, let me know, will be good to meet you!

Thanks a ton, again really appreciate it... I am in two minds, maybe I'll see how Monday goes (have to do a photoshoot, have a meeting and hopefully go for a dip in the sea!) if I have time, maybe I'll pop past and see if the guitar has any 'mojo' which I might be able to work with... so you reckon its a fully functioning guitar with no real neck problems? And did they give any indication whether that price is set in stone?

Well, this 2nd hand shop is 2 minutes from the sea.. Also, I live on the sea, so if you go swim, you godda come say howzit!

As for the price, as I've gotten to know that pawn shop, I'm pretty sure they are negotiable.. But, by how much I'm not sure. Like I said, hard to tell if there are neck problems with the rubbish strings on there.. The neck didn't seemed warped though. I didn't plug it in either because they don't have any amps at the moment, so have no clue what the plugged in sound is like.
