Demon Dave's double life as Jean Claude Van Dave got me thinking about odd skills we have or circumstances some of us may have found ourselves in (cage fighting in Sydney ? )... (this was covered some time ago but there's a lot of new active members)... Tell us something interesting about yourself that others may not know!

Had to do a spot of googling there. BAHAHA, but only if I can draw Alan as a Giant Eagle Owl.

I like Frida though. Here are some quotes:

Here's a pic of one of my own style paintings: (it's tricky as the light affects the painting, so it's a little harsh at the moment. It's what I love about oil paint though, is that is changes with the light)

Ever seen an African Finfoot?
Yup, it's not an easy bird in South Africa. I've seen it at Ndumo in northern KZN and at Ezemvelo Nature Reserve near Bronkhorstspruit. There are occasional reports of it from Borakalalo near Brits but, despite having birded Borakalalo a lot, I have never seen it there.

Have you seen it? The only two birds in South Africa (that are not vagrants) I still need are Eurasian Bittern and Short-tailed Pipit.

Saw a Finfoot on the Letaba river just below Ebeneezer dam, Magoebaskloof. Just round the corner from our place.
Only two species you have not seen, goodness me.

Though I see your point and can agree with it I just feel that scuba diving is something I don't wanna do more than free dive ? I enjoy the work out, and as I said the extended breath thing has it's advantages ? Also generally if I'm swimming with something awesome I can keep up with them, so I don't mind having to surface and dive down for them again. I like swimming with and playing with sharks mainly, I just find them very fascinating and beautiful, and I don't really have trouble keep up with the more small to mid sized guys like Pyjama sharks and Gully sharks. I'm sure the bigger ones can be even faster when they choose to be, but they generally don't seem too anxious around humans so I've never had to pursue one ?

This is excellent Viccy! And I'm a great admirer of the music that you have shared thusfar. Hope to be invited to your exhibition someday with yourself playing the guitar at it! Thanks! I'm still looking to do my first solo exhibition (holding thumbs for the end of this year), and I will definitely be playing there. People should be enjoying the art, not analysing it! And you are most certainly invited. You may hear from me at some point in the future when I will need some advice on exhibiting!

Thanks! I hope you don't take offense, but I am a bit disappointed I didn't use a droopy eyed owl. I think it would have worked better, but hey.
