Valve sockets, Resistors and Caps

Hi

I'm starting an AX84 October build, and I'm currently checking off bits and pieces from the bill of materials.

I need to source a number of caps and resisters and normally I would expect that someone like RS components would stock the necessary passives but they don't seem to. Can any amp builders point me in the right direction please?

Also can anyone suggest a source for 8 pin and 9 pin valve sockets please?

i would say mr valve is your best bet round 'ere. they have a fair range of tube paraphernalia. for things they don't have you'd probably have to buy overseas (tubedepot, tubestore, turretboards.com, mojo musical supplies etc.).

I'd just do a single order from www.tubedepot.com they will certainly have all you need. It's my main source of amp part, efficient and friendly service.

Matt I now understand how it cost you 3k to recap an amp. I may need to bring you the schematics to get an idea of which sort of caps I need to use where.
