Yes,asked a girl out and she said she had a bf. Kinda made my saturday so bad. So I grabbed my guitar and just played it. Sigh . No I did not play any soft songs but hard thrash. Nothing cheers you up to the sounds of slayer :-[

Hey Daniel!! - I just looked back at the beginning of this thread and would like to tell you something.

For a multitude of reasons, on both sides, my wife and I split up some years ago. Because of the situation regarding the lack of 'suitable material' for me here, I had a accustomed myself to the fact that I was going to be a bachelor again, for the rest of my days!

Well, if I didn't hook up with, on the net, a young lady my age (about fiftyeen), who I was in the same class with in junior school - she is one hot grandma, let me tell you!! We have so much in common. (EDIT - I'm not a hot grandma)

After a couple of months of chatting online etc I told her, I didn't ask her, that I was going to go to Mud Island, marry her and drag her back to Mozambique for a life full of heat, dust and romance! She said YES! I'm going to go there in a couple of months, get down on bended knee and do it properly.

It just goes to show - you never know what is going to happen! Don't give up hope - EVER!!

I don't want her having and misconceptions about this place!! She's only been on Mud Island for a few years and is really looking forward to getting back to Africa!

She better warn me of what to expect in the UK - I'll be like someone from a remote rural area trying to cross the street in JHB!!!

Make sure you check under the hood and do a proper test drive in case they've swopped out the 1.3L for a V8 ?
