I just measured the guitar and it is 108cm long, 43cm at the widest part and 12cm thick. One of the guitar sales agents told me a standard jumbo will be too small for these measurements! Can anyone think of something that will fit? Preferably a hard shell case!
Thanks
You'd need to speak to the stores and they may want more measurements, but I don't think it's going to be that much of a problem. I just measured mine and the largest is 41cm and that's by no means exceptionally large, so I can't see getting a case being a major problem.
If push comes to shove you can get a flight case made here in SA. Google around for makers. It won't be pretty (well it might if you're into industrial chic) but it will offer very good protection and they can make a case to fit pretty much anything. I used to have a guitar called a
"Smoothtalker" . That's an unusual shape and I could get a flight case made for that.
Ray's already suggested Tuerk, which sounds a good call. Other than that most of the good music stores in Jo'burg should be able to advise you.
Just be clear that you want a hard case and not a gig bag.
