Jack, what occupation has gotten you traveling so much?
What is your ultimate 4 string bass and what would you expect it to set you back new?
Aid work...!
Ultimate bass? Hard to say... my favourite guitars have always been the oddball, non-obvious outcasts... the Ibanez AXS32 second-hand, tucked into a dark music shop corner. Still my favourite guitar! So I'm on the look out for basses all the time and would part with 10k or more (well, not more than 15) if I thought it was worth it but those that I LOVE tend to come cheaper and out of leftfield. I adore my current bass, it's a 26 year old Ibby that's highly praised on forums all over but the best part is I got it from Warrick Sony (Kalahari Surfers) who got it from John Leyden (Mango Groove etc.) so it packs some mojo as well. How much you may ask? 1200 including a custom shaped original hard case.
