Very nice, and at a wonderful price!
Well at least it looks like Joe has a few more to keep him going...

You'd think it wouldn't exactly enhance the sale to show off how many other "Joe Bonamassa Les Paul"s there are ?
Joe recently acquired a vintage Burst (59 I think), so he might be selling off a few guitars.

Funny to even imagine people playing those live anymore. I read an interview with Martin Barre of Jethro Tull where he talked about how, back in the eighties already, he gave up gigging with his 'burst when he started needing to buy it its own seat on the plane.

His signature goldtop is a real '57 right?
Why do the strings go around the back of that thing at the end?

Um, if they weren't stuck onto that thing (bridge end stop?), the loose ends would flap around and tuning would be difficult ???

Lol what are you asking? ?

Preference I think. Some people say it's better and holds the bridge down, and it makes the angle of the string over the saddle greater, decreasing the chance of breakage. Also makes the strings feel a bit slinkier and easier to bend.

Never tried it myself so I can't say if it is true.
Oh I see what you were asking now...
Top wrapping. Looks like more trouble than it's worth. In extreme cases it can bend the tailpiece poles. Can't see the point myself.
Sorry, that was worded very badly and the picture didnt come out.

Looks like a not so very good idea to me. I wont try it incase it scratches my gold finish.

Gold finish comes off anyway unfortunately. Ezietsman and I were at Marshall today and I was once again getting all moist-eyed looking at what I'll be darned if it isn't an early '60s SG Les Paul Custom with the sideways vibrato, deep bevels and deep neck join ?. Well, the only trace of gold left is on the bridge. That can happen with Gold hardware in about 10 years with moderate playing.

Need to get in there with more time on my hands and play that thing before someone buys it.

It may be a bargain at that price seeing that it belonged to a great and veeeery famous player.
