My question is simple and no one seems to be able to answer it for me. So now i'll try on the forum and hopefully learn something new. What is the difference between a hi input and a low input on a valve amp? like for instance on the laney vc15? Does it have something to do with the guitar you play or the pups you use? or what?
The low/#2 input will usually have extra resistors on it to help lower the input level of hotter guitars and tame the drive a little. Some amps also have a filter on the second input for a different tonality.
