I checked the website, and just to clarify, it is not 24 amp models, but 24 modules. Still good enough to keep many people happy for a long time.

Another free alternative to Guitar rig is the Shred suite at http://www.acmebargig.com/product/shred/ - Not as good as the full guitar rig but certainly better than the 'free' version...

Nope, just a squeak when I switch pickups. Are you using ASIO?

I've got to say, I far prefer using and restarting the demo Guitar Rig 4 every 30 minutes than using Amplitude 3 Free. GR4 just sounds much better to me.

no... I'll download and install the asio drivers later and try again tonight...
there is nothing wring with the input though...
the guitar comes through fine in audacity, but open amplitube and it squeels like a freekin banshee!! ???

Quite possibly amplitube is set to use the built in mic on your machine, and is entering a feedback loop when you open it. Correctly configuring the input device should sort that out.
