Cort VX-2X

Been oohing over this guitar lately.

I'm not usually a fan of non-traditionally shaped bodies but for some reason I've come to like the look of this guitar. The body is an interpretation a Gibson Explorer. Another thing that caught my eye were the 22 frets, I've always been a player of 24 fret guitars and want to get myself a "Grown up's guitar." The thing that bothers me about it is...why is it so cheap? Am I missing something other than the agathis body? I've only ever heard good things about EMGs but I'm still a committed Seymour Duncan fan. ?

Please help me make the right decision here fellow guitarists, I'm looking at it more like a collectors item than anything else but I'd still like to pick it up every once in a while.

Mercury have some really good prices...
not on everything though, but some things can be much much cheaper through them than somewhere else!! ?

Erm, the 2V is more like a Jackson V........an explorer is a totally different shape altogether.

Nice guitars to play, guido has a 4V I think and damn it's fast........I dunno about the collection thing, buy it and play it..........Corts are such underated guitars, for what you pay for, you're getting a LOT of punch.

It'll never be a collectable (Cort makes too many guitars of each in their range for them to really become collectable), but the Corts are well-made decent guitars, usually far better than their price would imply.

I think that he's talking about just a collection........not for value.................I think.

I have a vx-4x and can recommend it. Great value for money.

Recently bought a VX 2V from Kalcium. She is wicked! I am a small person so I dig the lightness of the agathis, and the EMG 4's kill! super fast. ?
