TOMS exclusive Ibanez TS15 head and 1x12 cab...

What an amazing little amp, spend a few hours with one at TOMS Sandton the other day...under R5,000 They sold out all the ones they had in one day, they're getting a few more in this week. They have a 5 or 15 watts switch, one clean channel, and the TS9 channel that has a built in Tubescreamer and a boost switch, both switchable on a footswitch...and an FX loop. We cranked the clean 15watt channel, full power and no breakup at all, pretty amazing. Good looking little amp as well, white...took a pic while I was there.

i did a lil test last night on my amp stand. the head on the tSA12 (std) cab can be tilted quite far back before the head is in any danger of falling off due to the pods for the feet of the head on the cab. i see no problem with tilting this.

however separating the head and tha cab is no problem either if you concerned its going to fall

played this lil amp most of the weekend as one does when one has new kit and overall i am mightily impressed by this lil amp. very versatile with the TS circuit on board and the boost available.

was able to get a wide variety of tones playing aorund wit hthe different knobs.

Comes loaded with effects loop, can plug into various ohmage cabs , optional footswitch , line out for head phones etc.

Would be loud enough to play smaller gigs unmic'd imho.

Will be playing it thru a bigger cab at some point but even the standard ibby cab is pretty good.

and to top it all , i still have both eyes functional and intact

Edit: forgot to add , i suspect the pricing will have to increase, cant see how they building these at that price ..... even though built in china so is most of the competition which is thousands upon thousands more these days

I forgot to mention, I also played this at Toms. And really, I was wowed. You will not beat this with anything for the price. If I had not bought the ac30 this would have been on my list! Just wish they would bring out a combo version! But to be honest I liked the cleans more that the TS channel. Played a tele through it that sounded nice on all pickups.

A normal Ibanez two switch footswitch works. I have one and it works well ?

The proper ibanez one for this amp the ifs2g will only be available end of august ...... i need one for later in june so opted for the FS-6U whioch will work.

just be warned the FS6 requires a serial cable to use with the TSA 15

Had mine for 7 weeks now and its gone in due to a repair being needed. In addition to that i know of one other that has been in and apparently a number have been returned for repairs.

While the amp sounds awesome and its a great price ,there may be some reliability issues with them. I hope this is not the case cos i need a reliable amp. (as we all do i guess)

I need to get mine back tomorrow or else i wil lbe forced to buy another amp to honour my obligations and that would suck the large

Aish, that's not good. I'm needing mine to not break next week, I'm using it twice a day every day at a youth camp.

Aish, that's not good. I'm needing mine to not break next week, I'm using it twice a day every day at a youth camp.

When you engage the TS channel the amp mutes about 30 % of the time ...started off seldom so thought it was the cabling chased my tail a bit on that then figured out what was going on.

Hope mine gets sorted ,hearing from them today.

update on this. MY amp will not be ready but TOMS to their credit offered me a Marshall loaner which was one of their brand new floor stock. Apparently the parts needed to repair my amp will only be available on monday so amp should be ready by next weekend.

Nice dealing with a vendor like this , they are under no obligation to lend me anything.

Got my TSA!5 back...did not realise just how sweet this thing sounds til i played it again.....I reckon Ibanez have a winner here....just hope it stays fixed now.

glad to hear it's fixed.hope it was nothing serious that could be a recurring prob ....cos i also heard many good things re that amp ....

so yeah valve amps are the biz for sure......... ?
