Thread for Classifieds - People you can trade with!

Hello Norio / Alan,

What are your thoughts regarding a separate thread for people to list who they have had good dealings with, instead of having it listed in the signature?
quite a few people dont list this in their signature, so maybe if there was a thread, they could list who they dealt with, and maybe the 1st post could be updated to show the trustworthy people available to trade with?

good idea?

Will it work?

would open it up to all sorts of shenanigans.. and, one person cant speak for everyone else on the forum, eg..

I had a good transaction with guido, but member "ABC" had a terrible transaction with guido... then what?

It may be an idea to have a sellers rating ala ebay or bidorbuy?

Mind you I had such a bad experience with bidorbuy that was the post office's fault. yet I got a negative rating for it... Grrrr never using that again.

On the contrary, if there are any other good arguments for it, I'm prepared to listen. I can change my mind, given a compelling enough reason to do so.

is this intended more for the newbies? Cause I would feel quite safe dealing with all the average users here, knowing that if ever they screwed me over, I would have myself and a whole forum against them!

Thing is, i dont even know who the average users are, and im on here a lot since i joined!
there are also people who havent posted in a while due to whatever reason, but they still frequent the forum...
I just thought of it being a reference!
as i say, not everyone has a list of people in their signature showing who they've dealt with!

Otherwise, here's a brainfart...
Why not have a separate part of the profile dedicated to the good dealings? like a second signature block almost?

I joined the forum rather recently, I've had good dealings with both the members I've met, goods and money exchanged, and we got along on a personal level as well (seeing as we had slung insults at one another on the forum already) Besides, you see someone join and advertise something for sale as their first post, it should be a warning in itself.
