Sorry if the titles not very explainative, couldn't think of something better...anyway,after checking things out,I've come to realize that a sm57 is the way to go when it comes to amp miccing,my question is this, wat do they normally retail for and where can I get one?also,is it any good looking for a second hand one?
sm57 info
2nd hand is a good option. I have seen a few on Gumtree....However, watch out for fakes...for the SM57 and the -58.
Best price real ones go for about R 800 second hand and about R 1,400 new. But can cost a lot more retail.
You can get them cheaper if you're prepared to import yourself; or buy them overseas yourself.
But then ... factor in the cost of the air ticket; or the risk of them not being delivered.

Bought mine for 75 Euro a pop ?

Not so?
Yebo, go there every now and then. See family, enjoy a bit of ice skating, pick up stuff bought on marktplaats.nl and so forth.
Not always the best place to go but check:

and

And your delivery and shipping will cost about 30 bucks. But you'll wait. I think you can probably get it cheaper if you phone around to the music shops.

Not that it really makes any difference, but doesnt Take2 do freeshiping on orders over R350? Or is that only limited to local purchasesRay wrote: And your delivery and shipping will cost about 30 bucks. But you'll wait. QUite possibly they do. But you not going to buy there if you want the stuff tomorrow. when they say 15 - 25 days that is pretty much what it turns out as in my experience anyway.
They sell for $99 on B&H. And I've never had any issues with B&H at all. A friend of mine even had a used camera he bought from them replaced when the flash shoe turned out to be faulty.
