It's very weird. Someone who did like to wear their guitar high, or even medium, or was average height or below, would find the thing totally unworkable. And it's not the first I've encountered like that.
It's like thousands of straps are being made for the 5% of guitar players who are both over 6' and wear their guitars around their knees.
Hmmm.... I must check the brand name on my straps. I don't wear the guitar particularly low, I could go higher without modifying the strap, and I use a strap button on the heel of the neck so I'm not taking up a couple of feet by running the strap to the headstock.
Martin Simpson told me he uses regular Levys straps, and he's a short guy who wears his guitar pretty high.
