Bulk order from Tube Depot (Cape Town) - COME AND GET IT!

FenderBender · 2011-03-16T19:01:49+00:00

A few Cape based forumites have been asking me for tubes and other bits lately, so I think it's time for another bulk buy from tubedepot.com As before, shipping, bank charges and clearance fees will be split. Ad valorem duty and VAT will be payable by each participant at the going rates. You would need to collect from me in Welgemoed and everything would need to be paid before the order is placed. Cutoff will be at 19h00 on 23 March 2011. I queried the shipping fiasco that some others have experienced and this is the reply I got from them: "...we have had some recent issues with extortion from customs in South Africa for FedEx shipments, and because of this we can no longer offer FedEx shipping to South Africa. We do offer USPS Express/EMS service to South Africa for $29.95". Using this option, goods should arrive within 7 to 10 business days from date of order. If you're interested, send a list of the specific goods that you want (or even the links to each product) to graemeatgdpaudiodotcom

More than likely a 10-32. Another option would be to get 4 new (metric) bolts and nuts.

Tried at Nesco, they only have ugly flat head ones in non-chrome. Will pay for my $0.10cUS so it can keep the OEM ones ?

+1 I would do the same in this case ?

Ok we have 5 (and a half) guys in on the deal: Heinrich, AndyD, Matta, Brentcgp, Geves1414 and Nick.

I will tally everything up and let you guys know the rand value of your individual orders today so we can get the order placed on tubedepot ASAP.

FenderBender

Just waiting for Geves to confirm whether he will still be taking a Celestion blue with the $90+ postage fee ?

I'm sure he'll confirm tonight. I have to make sure everyone is in before I work out final figures. Thanks for your patience guys!

FenderBender

This is dragging on a bit. Communication with Geves is slow. Are you guys itching to get the order placed? Should we let Geves take the next bus and go ahead without him?

nick

The item Im after is too small for my opinion to count ?

Don't worry mate, even the small ones count here!

Geves has confirmed his order! I'm just waiting for the folk at tubedepot to confirm the shipping costs, then I will send each of you the rand value and banking details to make your deposits. When all funds are clear, we place our order on tube depot.
