PARENTS.........what are your kids listening to?

When I'm doing car pool for my daughter it's always been whatever dad listens to and that is usually something grungy/ metal/ rock and maybe throw in some Abba and various 80's tunes for good measure. She was singing along to the chorus of breaking the law with the pinch notes included by the age of 3.........dad was so proud. It's varying at the moment to whatever is on VH1 and her favorite is that IZ track (somewhere over the rainbow) and low and behold this morning I get asked why i don't have Katy Perry in my car.............WTF???..........she's 3.5 years old FFS...........lol. I feel as if I've failed as a parent........KATY PERRY? At east it's not Barney......

We went for our first scan yesterday - wife is 12 weeks pregnant at the moment. With mom, my three year old daughter listens to whatever kiddies CD's are in the car, but I flatly refuse - at the moment she asks for Jack Johnson (or John Jackson sometimes ?), but we still do a mean duet to De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da by the Police.

Duets are cool.....Abby digs Barbara Anne from the beach boys...........I constantly get told that I'm singing in her part........but it's all good.

My daughter (8) loves music, currently she has Sphongle and Tegan and Sara on high rotation.

But her favourite band is Thraeol hahaha.

I lectured them good on commercialism. "Yes you can have a Hanna Montana CD, but is it because YOU like it, or because you see it on TV a lot?" Haven't heard about Hannah Montana again so the lecture seems to have worked(?)
