Not all deals done here or on Gumtree etc end up like that . All depends on demand and supply of a particular item at the time of sale . As well as the desparation of the seller ....PERIOD ( imo ) .
It also does ones reputation on this forum no good if everytime an item goes up for sale , some people here offer ridiculous prices thinking every seller here is desparate and or stupid . ☹
New people join this forum and the music scene every day . Eventually the right person will come along either here or on Gumtree and offer you the right price , provided that the item is priced right in the first place compared to similar or more up-to-date product availability and trends , at that point in time . 8)
Sometimes people join the forum just to buy your item being sold. ( this has happened to me on more than one occasion )
I also reckon this deal with amp is worth 5.5 - 6k
of course your mileage may vary but in general musical gear is one of the worst investments one can make buying new (with the exception of rare/vitnage stuff which you would not buy new these days anyway)
Even Alfa's depreciate at a slower rate than musical kit....walk into a store buy a 10clip fender (after discount) ,sell it the next day you will be lucky to get 6... of course there are exceptions.
I have seen ads here for stuf selling second hand for more money than i can get the items new for aamoi.... so always push for discount, compare intl pricing , scour gumtree and keep yr eyes open.
