Singed monkey

Bob-Dubery

Two monkies are in a bath

The first goes "oooh! ahh! Eee eeee ah! oooh ooh!"

The second says "Let some cold water in."

Warren

Forgive me if I'm a bit ape-athetic about this one...

Norman86

stop monkeying around!

Is this an attempt to rival the pointless post-count-raising of a certain other thread? ? We could keep it going for months if we keep changing the subject.

dee

I thought the silverbacks would have locked that one by now ?

I just thought it would be nice to have a thread that doesn't mention Gibson, Tokai, China or maloigs.

StephenG

this thread makes me think of Norios thread about how this site can make some money for its owners,, the answer would be to charge each member per post they make ... that should go some way to keeping all threads relevent and cut out a lot of wasted electrons...

so when u sign up as a member here, you are required to put in your bank account details, every time you make a post, your account gets debited with the price of a posting.

Not necessarily.

You could offer a discount every time a poster gets karmaed.

That would lead to people attempting to offer sage advice in a courteous manner, as well as productive "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" relationships.

"Buy 10 forum posts and get 3 Free".... !!

Or quickly racking up a lot of karma in mutual agreements.

In honour of Bob's forum intervention, something else that involves monkeys:

ooh ooh eeh eeh aah eeh ack!
(exactly) ?

Here's the way to do it.

You have a filter based on a list of words and phrases. Avoid those and you post for free. Make a post with a "level 1" word in it (say "maloik") and you pay 50c per occurence of the level 1 word.

A post with a "level 3" phrase such as "chinese gibson copy" will cost a tenner.

Lists to be updated once a month according to voting by members with more than 65 karmas.
