Power Tranny and choke courtesy of Karel Mars...Well done Karel...Works nicely... ?
It has turned out to be a very versatile amp with both nice cleans - within volume limits being only 8 watts and plenty of crunch with the OD switched in.
There is also an extra bit of gain and thickening of tone with the TS switched out. This thing really screams with a Proco Rat in front of the OD channel.... ? ?....just make sure your PUP's are well potted.... ? ?
Very warm sounding with a bit of bite when needed.
It is built as a mini stack.
I still need to do the front panel for the head with the legends etc.
We have used it now to record all the guitar parts on Mariann's Album. It seems to be quite happy with both single coils and humbuckers.
I am itching to try some P90's through it as well.
Here is a picture of the chassis.
MikeM has also given the amp a trial and was quite impressed.
EDIT: Ive also managed to blow it up once by forgetting to plug the loudspeaker in. ??? ???...took out the OP Tube and transformer....
Luckily I had spares of both so I got it up and running quickly....(Phew..!!!!!)
