  • Didn't know bargains still existed.

So I just bought a Pod X3 Live for R1500. The thing is basically brand new, and comes with manuals and everything. Not a scratch on it, and everything works fine. It even came with a Line 6 carry bag. The only issue is the usb cable. It's somewhat MIA. Do any of you know where I can find a replacement usb cable? I want to start recording asap.
Methinks you need a USB-A to USB-B cable like you can get in any electronics store (Incredible Connection, HiFi cooperation etc).

That's pretty neat. Thanks. Now I need to figure out how I'm going to update anything or download gearbox, seeing as I don't have the registration key ?

I have to say, I'm quite liking the POD. Noodled around with it for a few minutes but I can definitely see potential here. Presets are a bit iffy though but that is to be expected lol.
? Where in the world did you get a pod x3 live for R1500?
You don't need a USB cable to record, just take a cable from the Line Out straight into your sound card.
Or if you have a little mixer you can use the XLR outs to the mixer and out of the mixer into your soundcard.

You'll need a USB cable if you want to use the Editing software.

R1500.00 for an X3L is a great bargain.

          Have fun with it.

I bought the X3 to function as my sound card for recording on my rubbish laptop, so I reckon I might need the usb. I'll just pick one up from Incredible Corruption tomorrow though. This editing software you mentioned, do I have to download this or will it be accessible if I hook up the POD? (mini-sigh at new learning curve ?)

I found it on Gumtree. It's a total fluke though. I woke up at about 6am this morning, got bored and surfed the net. I like to hop around on gumtree every now and then, but imagine my surprise this morning when a guy posted an ad on gumtree for a POD X3 for R1500 neg. Luckily I was about the 3rd person to check the ad out. Emailed him then and there and told him to keep it for me. Luckily he was very nice and did just that. Played a cricket game (torture btw) and then drove down to Sandton to go fetch it. I didn't even negotiate the price as I already felt I was ripping the guy off :-[
One mans loss is another man's win... I suppose he know's what he was selling it for though, so ja...
Damn, you really scored a bargain!
He didn't seem too keen on the whole POD thing to me or maybe he just needed the dough because he's a meth addict. He had lots of very nice stuff though and he was pretty cool as well.

woah I hope you are joking! :-\

You gave money to a druggie? ?

                      It's pretty easy.
Register at Line 6 and then download the"Line 6 Monkey".
Download the drivers, etc....the Monkey will show you what to download.
Then download the Editor and you're done.
Also checkout Line 6 Custom Tone for patches.

Drugs, guitar gear, what's the difference? It's all just escapism.
