A recent post got me talking about how my username came about, and that got me wondering, how did all your ones come into existance? What developed such usernames to stick and blossom. There are LOTS of you out there. Mika 'the better one' (better what). Seventhson (like the band?), Icecream man, Aubs, Norman86, infernox, ToneDef etc. etc. there are A LOT OF YOU. Whats the story?
And for those of you with usernames such as: Alan Ratcliffe, Keira WitherKay, Donovan Banks etc. tell us a story about that too haha ?
Norman86
Okay, well, my username was and normally is purefire or purefire9!
but i have gotten tired of that(grown up), so i decided to go for my name instead, and the year im born! therefore, Norman86 ? how original hey?! ? lol!
IceCreamMan
IceCreamMan - a remake by Van Halen. The song itself was written in the 50's and in them straight laced days songs had to appear to be clean an wholesome ..... but once you start unwrapping the lyrics an understanding what they mean well it is a deliciously decandant song. .....
In the ole days of usernets etc ....i had to come up with a nick ,first thing i thought of is IceCreamMan and it stuck.
singemonkey
Can't quite remember. I have a half written song called, "La societe des singes," that I occasionally haul out and try to do some work on.
---mario---
well, Mario isn't my real name but it is what I am called by all
I didn't even know it wasn't my real name 'til like 3rd grade or something and half my family doesn't know either ?
But it goes alongside my real first name and surname as the first 3 letters in all the names are the same. Its rather fun being able to conf*late people with the confusciousness ?

Come on Singe. We want to know about the tautology.
giggsy
Giggsy has been my nickname for years - my folks even call me Giggsy sometimes... Its after the Man United living legend Ryan Giggs - I was a pretty handy winger in my younger days and I had a number 11 Giggs United shirt, so it kinda stuck

MIKA-the-better-one
I know this may come of a real shock to some, but my real name is .... Michael...... But as I went through highschool die to the excessive amount of Michaels, I became Mika........
When I joined the Forum, I wanted to call myself Mika, BUT!!!!!! Some other fool had called himself that, and made like one post in 3 years, so I figured I would one better him, and so I became "Mika..... the better one"

A while back I played at TJs and I did a Loudon Wainwright III song titled "She Said, He Said" (or was it the other way around?). It's full of references to "doing the deed", "doing it in the dark", biting, spanking and so on. She wants to talk before, during and after. He thinks that actions speak louder than words. She is "all over him in the A.M." He's "not much of a morning man." It's not out and out smut, and uses a lot more double entendres than it does cuss words. However, some folks seemed a bit taken aback.
At the end of the set the host said something like "give it up for X Rated Bob".
So there you go.
PS: I did another Wainwright song that is deeply Freudian and obviously Oedipal and they just laughed at that one. Go figure.
