Greetings.
On 30th december I bought a used peavey valveking 100 head. When I was with the seller, it runned OK, also when I bringed it to my home, and even the day later, everything was OK. But one day after I putted the plug on and pressed the button to ON, the led light was suddently on and instantly the light was off, all that in less time than a second. Now, the light doesn't come on when I press the button, it's completely OFF. I can just hear a little noise from the amp, some part of the amp is still working, I can't understand what has happened...
Could someone give me an opinion about what kind of problem could have happened? A friend told me that maybe is the fuse that has just blown up. But there is still some noise when the amp is ON, so I'm unsure that the problem is related with the fuse.
What do you think?
Thanks
Aleks from Spain.

First troubleshooting is to check the fuse, after that would be the tubes. From there, take it to an amp tech.

If your amp blew a fuse, then someting is wrong...don't switch in on again..take it to an amp tech immediately. Good luck.

What Vic said, rather safe than fry a PCB Board. ?

I'm with Mike - Fuses sometimes go for no reason, so it's always worth checking by popping in another. If the second fuse blows, it's amp tech time. You wouldn't want to turn up at the tech, just to have him replace the fuse and everything works.

Well, IMO if the second fuse goes, put in the next set of power tubes and then a new fuse. Tubes close to the end of their life can cause fuses to blow, as well as having the wrong value fuse in place. Tube amps are actually usually pretty rugged.
