Hi Guys,
I can get a fender super champ XD second hand for R3500 in near perfect condition. I'd like to know if this is a good deal, and what are your thoughts/ opinions about this amp? I tried it out and it beats the living daylight out of my current amp (a low budget solid state orange).
I have a epi SG with a seymour duncan SH-2 jazz in the neck and a JB in the bridge, and I'd like to play blues/blues rock/hard rock...

I have one... awesome clean channel, true valve magic. Great for practices and gigged with it too (mic'd up, it is NOT loud enough for full band gigs without mic'ing or line out). The "voices" range from really cool emulations to so so ones. The effects are brilliant, particularly that Fender reverb sparkle... only catch is that you can't blend more than a couple of them at the same time (not that you would want to anyway). As for price, not sure if that's a deal, not sure what they go for now... it's substantially less than what I paid but it was some time ago. Call around a couple of stores and see what a new discounted unit goes for.
It's light, it's loud, it sounds great.
edit: for blues/rock/hard rock it's perfect, metal not so much.
