  • Bare Knukcle Pickups!!!

Has anyone had any experience at all with these pickups???

I hear great things about them. I tried emailing them directly and never received a reply which put me off a bit but I am still keen to hear from anyone who has tried them!!!
wow that was a deadly typo! Bare Knuckle is what I meant. Sorry :-[
Great pups - but look around. Imo there are better for your buck other places. Are you looking for something in specific?
Not really looking for anything specific! I am just interested in different brands of pickups especially the more boutique hand wound type guys!

What in your opinion are the best boutique Vintage/Hot style humbuggies to go for? Pickups suited to more my style of music Blues/Rock. Shot
There are loads out there as I rate you know. I assume you want paf? Dragon force, over the pond guy, Lollar, Zhangbucker(my fav cause he's cheap and great), Deadmint club, Throbak, skatterbrane. Imo find out what you want and take it from there.
Haven't tried 'em. But at the moment the "Mules" are my top choice for some really quacky Beano tone. I don't have cash for them now, and it's not a top priority because my guitar sounds pretty good as it is. But I heard a video shoot out between them and some Gibson '57 Classics, and the Mules sounded a lot more raw - to my ears more like the classic Beano tone. Although there's absolutely nothing wrong with '57 Classics. It's just a matter of taste.

You should try mail them again, Marco. I suspect they just have more work than they can handle.

            *edit*

            Oops. Need the other half:

That's a bit of a surprise, I mailed them a month or so back and they responded promptly and were really helpful. I'd asked specifically for help with suggested pickups for my Epi Dot and they'd suggested Stormy Monday's for the classic 335 tone. Have to save up for these though, if you're after a set with covers you're looking at well over R2k.
                Thanks

Shot for the vids and advice those Mules do sound great! I will also try emailing them again. As mentioned earlier I must also have a clearer idea of what I'm after because I'm still really happy with my current pickups and would need to find something top them. ?
