Bluetone (ft Stoffeltoo) - Somebody Home

I'd originally intended to insert a section in the middle of this song, but then came around to the idea of working out a kind of intro. It's a Pink Floyd song, so swirly, weird acoustic intros are OK, aren't they? In any case, I reimagined the first part of the song rather than the back end. Hope that's OK. I found a file of someone playing piano for it and then put guitar, vocals and some harmonica (because my wife bought me one for my birthday earlier this year) over it.

UPDATE: I have included the very generous contribution of Stoffeltoo on brass.

Meticus - Scylla

The only available original is a live recording from a SaMo concert, we tried to make our cover more metal-like.

I want to share a little home recording cover project I created together with 3 fellow musicians over the last weeks 😃
The original Song "Scylla" is an instrumental track of the medieval rock band Saltatio Mortis.
The actual guitar for the recording was a 20 year old Fame Forum III, but unfortunately it's devoid of a strap, so for the video we used my Ibanez instead 😄 The guitar track was recorded clean and later modified in the Cakewalk DAW by the TH3 plug-in. Bass guitar and pipes were recorded live and the e-drums electronically, of course

Here's my entry, inspired by Green Day's Brain Stew.
I took the riff and first verse pretty much unchanged and wrote a couple of other verses with similar rhyming structures and of course added my own lead guitar. I also doubled the tempo under the riff and melody to give it a slightly more frenetic feeling.

Klaasvakie - My Girl

Here's my quick and dirty entry - quick play straight into my phone. Compression and volume adjustment in reaper.
Basically took Nirvana's (amongst others) My girl and re-imagined it as something I could play for my baby daughter. Much lighter lyrics and some major chords sprinkled throughout.
