We're also looking at a later stage to sponsor and send those who really commit and want to to write unisa music exams. But that's for a later stage.

Nylon would be great, I was actually thinking of nylon because it wont hurt their fingers as much which I feel would help them push on instead of maybe giving up. I will collect depending on how far it is and time wise otherwise I'll pay for delivery.

I'm gonna keep this as short and straight forward as possible.

I'm starting a project for a non-profit/charity/community centre (Eleos) that I worked for till this week. Basically I am going to give some very disadvanteged children guitar lessons. The problem is almost none of them have guitars and the ones who have aren't in the greatest shape :sorry: so I'm looking for sponsors!

I need guitars, pics, music books etc etc... I don't want to ask for money because I want to show from the start it's an honest opperation and I pocket nothing. I really love these kids and they've become a part of my life that I don't want to lose and if you know just half of what these kids go through it would brake your heart! They live in really bad conditions i.t.o. poverty, abuse etc. and I feel that this will give them a sense of self worth and accomplishment. I really believe this could make a difference for them.

The children range from grade 4 to grade 7 and include boys and girls. At the moment there are about 10 of them so that's how many guitars I'm looking for. It dpesn't have to be the best stuff but as long as it's not broken old stuff either.

O and if anyone has tips on how to make teaching primary school children easier please let me know.

@ Stratisfear ... :? my bad, I actually registered awhile back just got busy and never did anything on the forum... Those were the guitars i had when I first registered but since then I gave my bass away to someone who couldn't afford one, was given a new acoustic and also don't have the Ibanez SA series anymore...
