i'm using a szr 520 ibanez guitar
does the type of p/ups play a role too?

i'm just wondering if there is a specific way to use your p/ups when you are playing
i find it sometimes better to use the neck p/up for pinch harmonics etc
is there a standard or is it something i got to work out on my own?

i saw one on gumtree.co.za have alook in there,i'm not shure the exact model etc

go and have a look on the internet at;gumtree.co.za i saw a few teles there with amps etc
there is a ephiphone les paul too for R2500 and a few others

i read a review about these guitars and all of
them were good,although some of them mentioned the feedback problem.would this guitar be good for solos with distortion etc.
i'm going on leave end june and i think i'm going
to shop around and see where to get a good price on one of these.i mainly play church stuff
but our church is very alive especially with the youth and i think this guitar would do the trick
when this guitar is just played clean does it have a nice accoustic sound?

bones your asking me a question that i don't
know alot about (fet or bufferd) and if you talk
about cables is there a certain price tag on good cables or specific name cables that are
good quality?
the bypass sound is a lot softer then with the fx turned on so i'll just check into my settings
which compressor would you guys recommend?

i've seen that some of you guys talked about cort guitars and recommended some
i went on the net and checked out some of the corts (electric)
the one that neil sasa plays on looks cool but theres no neck string locks on etc
i personally thought the EVL-Z6 or k6 looks cool,although i haven't been in a shop and
tried one out i watched on you tube some vids and it sounds cool
so shoot me please,thanks

i only plugged in the guitar and it sounded a lot better and clean
i think it is some of my settings on the pedal i get a little frustrated
sometimes ,but i know it take some time to get the right settings
what effect causes the guitar to hold a note longer or is it the pickups or
wood that causes this?
bones thanks for the advice i've try that too,so i think the secret lies in
the pedal.maybe its time to move to stompboxes?

you mentioned intonation and going out of tune
(sorry for barking in) what is the main reasons
for that either than a not having string locks
and a floating bridge ?

i think it's maybe the settings on the pedal,but i'l go and check everything that you have mentioned .then i could give better feedback

hi guys
first of all i'm using a laney VC 30 212 amp with valves and a ME 50 BOSS
multi effects pedal.the axe is a cort (the one with the red cross on the headstock
with the function to use a single bridge or neck pickup.
i've set the volume knob to only a quarter open on the pedal and my amp on 2
if i press the foot volume on the pedal to about 3/4 the sound do not come out
clean (when i use distortion effect) is it the guitar or the pedal or the amp.
or is it me thats just stupid with the settings because it sound like a hi fi speaker
that cannot take the volume.please if anyone could give some advice
