  • Hey guys,

So I have the option of grabbing a DD20 for a reasonable price, but naturally it is more expensive than the DD3.

In terms of sound quality and tone, is it worth spending the extra on the DD20, or is the DD3 just as good.

It's clear that the DD20 has more to offer in terms of delay types etc, but I am quite concerned with the tone more than the features at this point in time

    Any wise words?

    Shot!

Ye I am a huge fan of this range specifically! The neck on my guitar is stunning. Love it more than most humans ?
Super bleak that I gotta sell it, just can't afford the guitar I need without selling!
      • Hey guys,

I'm the newest kid on the block it seems.

Just joined your guys forum this morning, so far there seems to be loads of guitaring fun going on in here!

        About me;

I live in Durban and have been jamming for roughly 10 years. Started with rock/blues and the progressed to some heavier stuff in the metal genre, but recently making my way back to the classic blues rock with a tinge of the metal where I can fit it in ?

Some of my influences are; Paul Gilbert, Mark Tremonti, Kirk Hammet, Brian May, Jon Petrucci, John Mayer.

Just been invited to jam with a local band here in Durban called Superlative. Playing around with some classic blues rock with some contemporary rock influences!

I don't have pics of my setup at the moment, but I am jamming the following gear:

Ibanez RG570ex (gun metal matt finish) with tonerider rocksongs and P90 pickups
        Laney Lionheart L5t combo amp
Boss GT 8 multi effects pedal

Also got me a fender strat (light blue metallic),
        Taylor 314ce acoustic
Boss Power driver stompbox (building up my personal collection)

Stuff that I currently play with our band is an assortment of boss/ibanez/signature pedals as well as some custom BENDO gear from our local superhero Brent Quinton
        Fender 78 delux telecaster
Laney Lionheart L20h with Marshall 1960 JVM 4x12 cab

Ye that's about it for now.

I am looking to sell my ibanez, so if anyone knows of a solid place to sell that (I know that the prestige models are not too well appreciated in SA) give me a shout via PM.

Nice to be on board and hopefully I can learn lots from you guys!
