Can we use a royalty free drum track? The only backing tracks I can think off are those that consist of drums and rhythm guitar. Will be a bit tricky to make any that has to exclude guitar o.O
Congrats Meticus
Meticus haha yeah your hearing is damaged from your ice pick bagpipes lead tone XD, just kidding man! I have actually a sensitivity to high pitch tones, its called hyperacusis, but not all frequencies.
I also dont listen to music loudly or play with a loud amp, can be why the highs don't feel ear piercing to me.V8 XD yeah man sorry about the lead tone, my hearing is damaged so I dont have all my frequencies intact anymore
Post a image of the guitar from the side so we can see the distance between the frets and strings.
If setting the action higher does not help it is most likely a high fret or a bowed neck, or both.
The strings should not mute if the neck is relatively straight and your action is about 2.5 mm at the 12th fret.
Try and use a ruled to see if the neck has a bow in it.
Gap in the middel under ruler at around 8th fret and it has a forward bow, no gap but the ruler can make like a seesaw on the neck and it has a back bow.
You only want tiny bit of relief, or nothing if you prefer, depends on your playing style and action. All personal pref, but you dont want the grand canyon in the middle of your neck.blood_bought drums credit
Meticus Those pipes sound awesome!
V8 Ooh yes flamed for sure! If it was me id totally remove all the finish and get that flame to pop! Id be curious as well too see what is going on under the headstock!
Reminds me of a Squier hello kitty strat I bought for peanuts, when I got the guitar I found out it had a flamed maple neck haha. Rare but it happens. then I sold it :/V8 I almost tried those alice strings out, bought this bulk deal thing on takealot, but then it turned out it was 9s and not 10s as it was advertised so I sent it back. A set of ernies last me a long time haha I dont often change my strings.
If the $ will drop, Ive no idea, everything just seem to go up and up. Seeing that shipping went up so much I dont have my hopes up of anything getting cheaper. Container space went up a ton.looking good indeed! Id say you should totally remove all the finish from the neck, I cannot tell for sure but it almost look like the neck has a flame going on? or is it just my eyes
Its nuts! I still remember the day I went to go buy strings and the guy told me it is now R60 for a pack of ernie ball regular slinkies, then I thought this is not getting expensive! XD That was years ago already. Ive been thinking of getting those chinese brand strings from alie express, dunno how good they are. Some reviews seem to speak positively of some of the brands. Just dont want stuff thats gonna cut my fingers to shreds.
Not sure if this counts, only used a drum track and recorded the lead and rhythm.RCVN Wonder what the dealer bought it for.
V8 you should def update it! Get some traffic going here haha!
I used to have an account on here long ago that I don't have the email account of anymore, but wow seems to be really quiet here now.And that guitar has been on GT for a while, just gets reposted every now and then.
I suspect that butchered headstock is a big put off.
The back of the neck is also badly done, looks sanded and not worn, Ive had two classic vibes strats, yes the necks are sticky but a few passes with fine steel wool gets it satin smooth, just got to be careful to not get any in your pickups. For sure looking at a naturally aged/worn guitar it looks nothing like these quick relic jobs. unless a person was wearing a suit made of sandpaper while playing.
The body can still pass as a relic job but that headstock looks really bad!
