  • Shucks I completely forgot about that,

It's still at the line in,

I'll change it and have a look tonight.

    Thanx man

    • I had been a member here for a good few months when I went back to joburg for the weekend and stayed with my mom, at the house where I grew up.
I owned the book as a teenager, but had never taken note/cared to remember the name of the author, until I saw it that day and put two and two together.
So another belated "thanks for the book, Alan".

It is indeed an awesome book!

      Thanx for the comment dude
      • Awesome thanx man!

I'll put back the back of my amp lol
        • Hi Alan,

Thanx for the speedy reply, in general it sounds great, it's just my lack of (eq and Hardware) knowledge that lets me down lol.

I am going to turn of the amp and speaker models of the tonelab and just configure the effects on the tonelab to fit with my amp.

Another question: I have an enclosed combo amp, will it make a huge difference i open the back of my amp - will it give a better tone?

          Kind regards man!

PS. I loved your book on electric guitars - I have read that book about 5 times
          • Hi There

I have the vox vt40+ and the tonelab EX, I keep on getting a very low end to my sound and when I go over to distortion hy have this low 'thump' noise when I palm mute. A friend once suggested only to use the effects on the TLLEX and switch off all amp models and cabs on the pedal because the vt40 already has its own voice, what is your suggestions? What is the best way to eq to get a good midrange tone- still warm but not too low end?

I have set my amp to bypass all onboard effects and amp models and just to be a straight forward amp but my tone is very low range,

Please help me with some eq tips etc.

            Any advice is welcome!

            Thanx guys!
            • Hey folks,

I have a vox tonelab ex pedal, I am very happy with it but I was wondering if anyone else has few 'set ups/patches' they would like to share and tips to get good EQ on the pedal?

              Thanx ?
