  • I thought it would come down to StewMac ☹. I was just hoping that we would have them somewhere in South Africa.

I want to put them on my Gibson SG and Epiphone Les Paul Standard. I'll most probably want to purchase another Gibson soon so I will most probably need 3 tail pieces.

The question is to skimp or not to skimp? Should I go with the origanl B5 Kalamazoo sand cast or the new Lighting series Die cast?

    Is there a difference?
    • Does anyone know where I can get Bigsby tail pieces specifically the B5 tail piece for a Gibson + Epiphone Les paul standard. I'm situated in Cape Town.

I have the option of importing them from overseas but that is going to cost an arm and a leg!

      • Hi,

I stumbled across this forum and thought I would join seeing that it is local and local is lekker.

I've been playing guitar since I was 13...so that makes about 15 years of guitar playing for me. I'm mostly into rock...Grunge/Post Grunge specifically in line with Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Bullet for my Valentine, 30 seconds to Mars, etc. I also have a huge liking for Brit rock such as Muse, RadioHead, Oasis. These bands that I have mentioned have inspired my guitar playing.

        Current kit includes:
        • Gibson SG and Epiphone black Less Paul Standard
        • Boss GT10 Pedal
        • Vox AT50 amp
I play in a band (lead guitar) and thats awsome because it gives expression to my music and ideas about what I like.

Look forward to talking with the rest of you.
