  • thx for the info guys. I went to look on muz.co.za but saw the "closed" banner at the top so jumped off. I think the one I'm looking for is the VF001 then. Searching the net and documentation for the JamVox monitor, I find what they keep on referring to as the VFS1. The single switch is the only one that works on the jamvox from what I've read.

I'm in Jo'burg btw, will go update my profile ?
    • Been looking everywhere for one of these but can't find one. If anyone knows of one or someone who has one to spare, please let me know.

      thx ?

I've got a cloth used to clean reading glasses that I use. I wipe the strings down from top to bottom and then run the cloth underneath the strings as well. I just didn't do it that often since this is my 1st guitar....had to learn the hard way I guess ?

          thx Warren.

I've gone thru a set of Ernie's already and now have a new set of Rotosound 11-48's on. Must say I like this thicker gauge more. Also ,comparing recordings of a the same tune with the rusted Ernie's and these new ones, the difference in sound is massive! Completely out of tune with the old set, not to mention that they got so grippy that everytime I'd take my finger off a string it would be a pulloff ?

I've pretty much started playing this year, bought myself a Cort EVL-Z4 and a JamVox for my laptop. I'm left handed but decided to learn how to play right handed since I'm sure my right hand won't even know where to find the frets! only problem is that same stupid hand is giving me a hard time strumming ?

Slowly learning and hardening my finger tips by playing slower solo's and intro's. Must admit that I should be learning to play from the start using standard tuning but I just love getting straight into my heavy stuff with drop C. I'm also rather amazed at how fast these strings rust, must not be cleaning it proper. With that in mind, anyone here have experience with stainless steel strings?
