Hallo all.
Am i glad that I stumbled upon this forum.
I'm not an electronics fundi and will never claim to be one either. I do know the difference between Volts/Ohms/Amps and Watts, and regard myself competent enough with a soldering iron and some handtools to have built a few SS amps (Rod Elliot from Aus).
Two years ago on a visit to the UK, my son-in-law enticed me into building a 5E3. We did it within one week from all the bits 'n pieces arriving, and he's still very happy with it! He had a very nice cab built for it in the UK.
I degressed to building myself a little BF Champ (seperate T B controls) from valves my son-in-law gave me. Had the OPT wound by Rudi Hannauer, and a colleague supplied me with a power tranny 275-0-275 6.3 he salvaged from somewhere.
Will post some photo's of the little Champ later on.
