Anyone played through the Vox AC4TV?

Hey all. Am looking for a little practice amp, and came across this at Andy McGibbon's the other day. Was wondering whether 'twas the season of giving to myself to the extent of it being worth going back for a little play through the wee beastie? Informed opinions welcomed, ta.

i aint played one ...yet BUT i was at andy's last week and someone was playing thru it and it sounded the dogs bolloX ..... unfortuantley andy's did not have a lefty axe in stock else i would of given it a twirl ...

pricing seems reasonable on them as well.....

I'm the one who grabbed CDee's combo and 112 cab. Great sounding amp. Believe it or not my AC15 was too loud for where I used it (smallish church). CDee let me try out the little AC4 for a couple of days and it worked like a charm. The AC15 sounds great when it's cranked, but I was just not getting that "good tone" at lower volumes. I'm very happy with the AC4, nice by itself ?, and nicer through the cab 8)

First, note to self - search forum for previous topics on info needed. Thanks Alan for link. Second, thanks for info from all y'all. I was considering selling my Blues Jnr and buying the combo, now I think I'll hang on to the Fender and pick up the Vox head & cab and be a much happier camper all 'round.

Just to be clear, the combo by itself I think is perfect as a practice amp ? It was not my intention to induce GAS for anything else ? , but ja, GAS is GAS 8)

Double amen. And just to be double clear, it don't take much to induce GAS in me. Am thinking of offloading my Highway 1, since I have the Std 22 which satisfies just about all my needs and is one mean axe. That will put a few shekels in the back pocket. I also apparently have some Andy's gift vouchers coming my way for Xmas and my birthday. And who, indeed, knows what I will do then...
