This is an awesome, awesome song to play. Playing it live tonight for the first time. There's just something so up-tempo about it, the whole band gets into it like nothing else we do!

Two songs I really want to get into my repertoire for next year:

Yeah that's quite a toughie. Also, unless you have hands the size of his you'll have to fret some changes differently.

Try giving Heart of Life a go first, because the picking pattern is about the same but it's a lot easier to play. There's a dude who has quite a good YouTube video that combines the two.

That stretch in Stop This Train is one of these ?, I just play it without the thumb on the 3... If I was 2m tall maybe I would try.. alas I am not even close

But all the songs I want to learn I end up learning. some of them take more time then others.

My own! Seriously, some of my own riffs kick my *ss big time and I have to work up to being able to play them so I can record them.

Given unlimited time I'd love to sit down and learn these two utterly sick nearly unplayable (well, to me) riffs:
1. Termination Proclamation (opening riff, song #1 on the new Nevermore album)
2. Multitude Of Foes opening riff, from Nile's Black Seeds of Vengeance album.

I used to say that the day I am able to play Paradise City, I can put my guitar down and never play again - content knowing that I can do it all. Now I know there's a helluva lot more challenging songs than that ?. Still my choice though. It has it all imo. Slow chord arpeggios, mean riff work and great solos. Close second is Bohemian Rhapsody. Just cause I love the song.
