My '67 ES-330 is in the hands of Foster van der Merwe. Seems like the Tangs were too long on the previous refret causing very little relief with the truss rod loose. So he will do a refret, install tonepros abr, enlarge tuner holes (for some reason none of my bushings fit) etc. Fingers crossed, it will play like butter when I get it back. So hopefully the next time I post I can give a tone report ?

On a side note I heard one of the acoustics Foster built: gorgeous guitar and sounds great.

Foster's acoustics are AMAZING!!! I've also had the pleasure of playing one of them.

I take all my axes to him for setups and problems etc. I'll be taking one of them in soon for a re-spray aswell.

No news yet... I am hoping I can drop in the harness and P90s next weekend.

On a side note, anyone know where I can get a case for an archtop? The case it was shipped in is way too big. Made it here safely though with only a bent bridge post. I'll try bothners etc. But maybe someone with some experience can recommend one that's a good fit.

Just to +1 on work done by Foster. He replaced some frets on my acoustic and a setup. All frets were shiny and amazingly leveled out, better that it came from the factory. He also casualy gave me his first guitar hr built to try out after I asked some questions about his design and . . . yes it just sings without losing an energy as you work your way up to the upper frets next to the un-cut body. I think his design kinda reflects his character. Just a regular bloke that happens to build very smooth acoustic guitars.
