Speaking of MiM Fenders. The new Blacktop range has landed. I played the Tele and the Strat. The Tele is very much a twin humbucker guitar like you'd expect. No classic Tele sounds. The strat however, is plain cool. Positions 1, 3, 5 gives nice warm fat bucker tones (I played through a Blues Jr). Position 2 gives you the inner split coils. Very tele like sound, twangy and warm. fairly low output. Position 4 is the outer neck split coil. Very noice. Nicely finished, lots of sustain. I like the strat a lot. I think I'm going to get one when I have funds. Being a Les Paul only player for the last 11 years, I find strats a bit strange in the fact that when you bend a string the others go flat.
