Neck pocket details ...

I have a friend who is making a guitar.
He has asked me to rout the neck pocket for him.
The guitar is a copy of a ESP Eclipse:

Does anyone know:
a) The depth of the neck pocket?
b) The angle that the neck lies relative to the bosy?

Well, I don't know the ESP intimately, but it's a tune-o-matic bridge, so the neck angle will be the same as a Les Paul (4 - 5 degrees) - unless the TOM is recessed. Depth of the neck pocket will depend on the thickness of the tenon.

Get the dimensions of the bridge, neck tenon, nut, etc, and do a nice accurate side-view drawing which gives a string height of 3mm-4mm above the 12th fret. If you do happen to route too deep you can always glue in a few layers of veneer and try again... but best to get it right 1st time.
