there was a post a short while ago about fender contact details but i cant find it.

if anyone has contact details for fender south africa, i'd appreciate it.

The wholesale is 021 799 4900 extension 3 (share the same switchboard as Bothner's wholesale MD - speak to Phillip or Chad.

That's just a retailer. Aside from them advertising a Squier and picturing a Fender, no harm in them selling on Bidorbuy.

However, I suppose you could order one and insist on the guitar as pictured (an American Vintage series '57 IINM). But then they do list the model number (031-0001), which is the Bullet Strat. They retail for about R1 995, so you should be able to pick up one cheaper in your local store - even before discount.

thanks Alan - am definitely not interested in buying one..

it just annoys the hell out of me when companies try and fleece the public...

when they claim to have "over 30 years in the industry" but then cant even spell "Squier" correctly..

they put up a pic of an alleged Fender.... not a Squier............ and when someone asks them if its a Fender or a Squier.. they cant give a straight answer..

so either its one of those cheap chinese fakes, which case, Fender SA should know about it, so to take appropriate legal action, or they are making themselves guilty in terms of a couple of laws pertaining to advertising etc.
