Here's some of my fav replies so far. 1) "Hi Gary, I'm liking what I see on gumtree and see that it comes with a bag and includes the amp as well. Can you include a stand and maybe a pedal for that price? If you can then we have a deal." 2) "i have sum items that i'd like to trade for your item, (i think that this is a generic email, but anyway). toaster, snakwitcher, blender and a webber braai": (yeah I'm itching to give you a call) 3) "do you still have the guitar? i'm prepared to go to R1000 as gio's are not worth that much and are basically junk anyway" 4) "what else comes with the guitar, bag and amp?" ( A bloody rolls royce if you pay for it!!!!!) And the best one so far is............... 5) "my mother is buying this for me and wants to hear me play it before she buys it, can you please bring it to Edenvale so she can decide?" (Yeah and what if you suck and she says hell no and I have to drive to JHB for nothing..................lol)

Slaying the Twanger..........good name for a band don't you think? Oh no, don't worry, we'll end up attracting all the hippy/ fairy /dragon weirdo's out there who'll end up thinking that it's a type of live action role playing thing.

Nope, it's gone, such a shame though, she looked great when she left though, I was actually going to change out the input jack today if I still had it so that I could play it tonight.......................lol.

Oh man, I've just been laughing so hard that I literally cried a contact lens out.

If the money didn't matter to you then that kid almost deserved to be given the guitar just for the joy he's spread.

Maybe all us forumites should donate R20 into a kitty to buy him a Gio & amp with only 1 precondition: His mom has to bring his sister with for the tryout, which you film & post here.

(Which makes me wonder - if his sister's well set-up & comes with her mom, would her mom be the hard case?)

Yeah, In a way I'm a bit sad that he didn't get it. But at the end of the day, the ad for the guitar has been running for 2 weeks and I'm honestly surprised that it took this long to sell. I sms'd him this morning saying that it was gone, but haven't got any replies from him. I think he's too pissed off.

Money was needed.................I had to fund my new amp purchase.

Is that a pic of the one you're gonna build? Also, the old one looks like it must've been fun to session!!! Its nice and small for trying all sorts of tricks ? i think i'd blunt pop in if i had a halfpipe that size ? ...perhaps just if i had a halfpipe...haha still though, guess i'll stick to nosegrabing back in ?

Nah, my new one won't be that big, but I do want a bowl...........so I'll see how far I can make R10 000 stretch.
