Carlos finally has some treble in his guitar tone, and some interesting guest performers. Surprisingly enjoyable to listen, better not listen to this when I am driving. Worth a spin.

Amazon preview listening indicates it's not the hellish experience some Santana has been. More interesting is that the album is called "Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time".
Um. Ok. 3 or 4 have a shot at being on a compilation if I was curating it but yeesh.

I'm a big Santana fan, but I'd rate this about 6/10,,, definitely not his best. Santana needs to get back to writing some more original stuff.

Some of them are ok at best.

I agree, that version is a f'n joke. I still believe Celine Dion and her fellow Divas need to be shot for covering You shook me all night long.

I did enjoy Cornell's vocals on whole lotta love. Rob Thomas kinda surprised me on Sunshine of your love. Pat Monahan didn't do too bad wuth Dance the night away (Had to ggoel him to see who the hell he is). Joe Cocker on Little Wing is really cool, and nice to see Johnny Lang on a track as well. Come to think of it, I enjoyed the vocal performances most, but Carlos seems to have some fire in his playing at times, which is good to hear ?

Like,I grew up listening to dire straits,zeplin,santana,CCR,beach boys...and stuff like that,due to my father's taste in muisic...and I like santana,but most of his resent stuff just ain't the same...

But yea,think it would be interesting so I'll se if I can find a copy...thanx for the heads up ?
