Jack you are proving that GnR used up all their riffs on one album ?
Slash is a way better guitarist than most people think!

Sadly I believe that is the truth! The odd nice solo after that (November Rain) but nothing could ever compete...

Back in Black and Sweet Child are great choices.
If you're talking Priest, The Sentinel is my fave riff. It doesn't have the Guitar Hero mass appeal of Breaking The Law of course.
For Whom The Bell Tolls would have to be in there somewhere.
IceCreamMan
Whole albums ...Scorpions animalise

Money for Nothing - Dire Straits and Another one bites the dust - Queen (bass riff, but still...bloody catchy), also deserve a mention.

I still think we should split the 80's.
I think you get early 80's riffs and late 80's riffs.

This was an epic song that made me rush out and buy 'Schizophonia'. Album had some good songs "The walls of the World", "Voices in the Dark"
"Dont let me be understood"
@ Zohn what a memory jolt, I hadn't thought of Mike Batt for years. I even enjoyed "The Womble Song"
