For those wanting to do a combined order from Stewmac for Johannesburg / Pretoria / PWV Area please PM me your wish list with the Stewmac part numbers so I can start putting the order together.
Order will be placed about the 26th of November.
Everything gets delivered to me in Edenvale and you come and collect.

awesome man thanks. Of course now i'm actually looking at buying stuff i don't "need". do we pay you the parts value as "deposit" and then split the shipping import duty afterwards? if this is a stupid question i'll take it like a man. haha
TomCat
LOL.......Probably the easiest is to get everyone's list. I'll put it all together and work out the cost for each and split the shipping cost appropriately. I'll then PM everyone with their final cost which can be deposited into my account before I place the order.

as per the other thread im thinking about a neck..
any idea what it would cost shipping wise... the necks on stewmac are 145 dollars
TomCat
I have not placed an order with StewMac before so I've no idea what the shipping is going to come to yet. I'm also sure the shipping will depend on what we order and size, weights etc.
Once I know what everyone wants I'll be able to see what the shipping comes to.

they cal shipping for air and dhl and you choose. dhl comes to you like in a blink and the air mail a couple of weeks but the dhl costs big. I may want something if ok but i dont know what I just havent bought anything for a while and I had bettoer before I lose my touch. you can go on there and enter the stuff you want and then start the checkout process and at some point it tells you what you are going to pay for shipping either method.
TomCat
Thanks Ray...I also saw that on the website. I just need the lists and I'll be able to do the calculations for both shipping methods. We can all vote as to which method of shipping we want to adopt. i.e. quick and costly or slow and cost effective.

Tom,
Would you be able to put me down for a neck and then once the final values are decided, (I ) decide whether to actually do it or not..
Don't want to mess anyone about but if it comes to R1500 then I can buy them locally, if its significantly cheaper than R1500, ie like R1k, then I'd like to order one in.
LEt me know. If its too much hassle, don't worry about it either way..
Thanks

PM me the part number and I'll add it to the wish list.

it is item# 5716...
Although doing some quick conversions the rand converter has it at R980 already minus shipping... ???
Looks like buying it locally may be the way to go.. :-[

I think that you'll possibly need to get some agreement on how splitting up the shipping. I think that they work on weight. And I dont know if they are going to tell you what weighs what. But I dont know I may be sitting the pot miss again. Anyway, you say we can add to the wish list so long?

It's also by size. So whoever orders the biggest or longest items will be paying larger parts of the shipping.

Just wanna go check with Music Connection what they have from AllParts, if the prices are alright I might not need to import.
Ray
Hey Tom, two items that I wanted - one is not in stock at the moment and the other I can get at Hardware centre locally, so for now I dont think I'll be needing anything at STEWMAC hey Thanks for the effort though.

PM me your wish list so long so I can add it to the combined list. Once I have everybody's lists I'll be able to work out final costs.
