Indeed very nice, but for what I use it (open tabs), I get away with opensource applications.

Seen the demo and it looks amazing!

Anyone using it at the moment?

Was just wondering about that, since the demo for GP6 is 300 MB odd. Didn't want to test the link at work.

Not spam - illegal link to pirated software + a new user based in Vietnam = banhammer. I think the main program itself without soundbanks would be quite small. Guitar Pro is great software (I have V4), so I left the post and linked to the Guitar Pro homepage.

I was trying to think who the heck the poster was and was thinking perhaps we aren't the only importer as I thought and wondering who was hijacking our products and... now my universe has returned to normal. Thanks! ?

I'm a bit baffled about your post, though. Are only importers/distributors allowed to post information about new/updated products? ???

No. Anyone can. But someone doing it an obvious trolling or spamming manner indicates they have a vested interest in selling it and as we're the official distributors we're supposed to be the only ones who legally have an interest in selling this product, besides of course the stores who stock it. Since I and nobody else from my company posted this (if we had it would contravene forum rules), it would have warranted further investigation.

I don't want to contravene any forum rules. I'm not going to get into any further debate or conversation about this. My initial comment was directed at Alan. In future I won't comment on these sort of posts - I'll PM him directly.

Quite the reverse. The distributors may not post information about their products (unless asked to) as per the advertising rules.

The original link was a link to pirated software - that's why it was changed. Mr TM has a "legal" interest because he works for the official distributor, while the OP could be said to have an "illegal interest" (bumping his visits to fileshare - if anyone signs up he gets points that go towards his account).

I tried GP6 for a few months IMhO it is overly bloated and it has some serious compatibility issues with older GP versions I have scurried back to GP 5.2

Agree on the GP6 bloat. 'Realistic sound engine'...I mean really, who needs that. (Ok I guess someone does...) I was glad to find Tux guitar, does what I need without the bloat.
